Which Halloween Candy Is Best?

Halloween is quickly approaching, and it is time to start purchasing the candy that you will hand out to trick-or-treaters. However, when you’re standing in the aisle, surrounded by every kind of candy, an important question comes to mind: “Which one is best?”

During the 2022 Halloween season, it is estimated that consumers will spend 2.6 billion dollars on candy. About 95% of Americans who celebrate Halloween will purchase candy. Studies also show that children can consume up to three cups of sugar on Halloween. This is equivalent to approximately 169 sugar cubes and 7,000 calories.

Because America’s sugar cravings are so high during the spooky season, it’s important to know which candy is regarded as the best, and which ones are the least popular. While there is much conflicting information about which Halloween candy is ranked the highest, many sources agree that Skittles are a fan favorite. However, other sources contend that Reese’s Cups are the top sold candy in America.

While it is important to know which candies are the most popular, it is also important to know which candy will end up uneaten. Candy corn is widely controversial: only 49% of the population will snack on this sweet treat. Tootsie Rolls are not well received among trick-or-treaters either.

Being knowledgeable in Halloween candy popularity is a great way to ensure that trick-or-treaters will leave your house with a smile rather than with a grimace. These tips are especially important to note if you want to “close up shop” early on Halloween night. The better candy you have, the more quickly it will be gone!
